NEW YORK — 2024 — Law & Forensics LLC announces that Senior Partner David Cass continues his roles as Adjunct Faculty at Harvard University and as a leading conference speaker on cybersecurity risk, financial services regulation, and emerging technology.
At Harvard Extension School, Cass teaches graduate-level coursework in cybersecurity, co-instructing a course with Law & Forensics Founder Daniel B. Garrie that provides students with hands-on experience in computer forensics tools in a virtual lab environment. The appointment reflects Cass's deep operational expertise across regulated financial services, cryptocurrency, cloud security, and digital banking sectors.
As an active conference speaker, Cass has a documented history of appearances at major industry events including the Cloud Security Alliance Summit, DefCon, RSA Conference, Money 20/20, ISACA, the Institute of International Finance, FinTech Americas, the Financial Times Security Summit, InfoSec Europe, and the Singapore Academy of Law Tech Law Fest. He is also a speaker at the Federal Judges Association Ninth Quadrennial Conference in Washington, D.C., where he addressed a national audience of federal jurists on cybersecurity issues facing the courts. He is confirmed as a speaker at the Official Cybersecurity Summit in New York in November 2025.
Cass also serves as Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Law School and is a member of the New York City Cyber Critical Services & Infrastructure team organized by the NYPD and the Office of the Manhattan District Attorney, as well as faculty of the Global Cyber Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to cybersecurity education.
His published commentary spans cybersecurity, blockchain, cryptocurrency, AI governance, and financial regulation. Recent work includes co-authorship with Daniel Garrie on "Lessons for CISOs From the SolarWinds Breach and SEC Enforcement," ALM Cyber (May 2024), and "Don't Blame Bug Bounties, Blame Joe Sullivan," Security Current (October 2022).
" Teaching at Harvard and speaking at conferences like RSA and DefCon gives us the opportunity to shape how the next generation of cybersecurity leaders thinks about the intersection of technology, risk, and law," said David Cass. "That education mission is central to what Law & Forensics does."
