About the Event
The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly changed our world. Fortunately, in the realm of ADR we quickly adopted the use of online tools as we adjusted to the new normal. Given travel restrictions and shelter in place rules, in-person mediation and arbitration became next to impossible. The use of online platforms and technology allowed us to continue to offer ADR services and often also demonstrated that certain traditional expenses involved in arbitrations and mediations might not be necessary. The further implementation of technology created an effective and efficient way to conduct ADR but also caused us to become more aware that important issues need to be addressed to improve online ADR.
