Daniel Garrie, National Managing Partner Law & Forensics, to Speak at LegalTech Event
January 27, 2015

New York City – Daniel Garrie, National Managing Partner of Law & Forensics, Cyber Security Special Counsel to ZEK, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Cyber Warfare, will be featured as a panelist at New York City’s LegalTech Event on Tuesday, February 3rd. Mr. Garrie will be speaking on the panel “Minimizing Cyber Security and Litigation Risk While Optimizing the Benefits of Mobile Technology and Social Media in the Workplace.”

With the growing use of social media and mobile devices in today’s workplace, and the expanding definition of the “workplace” to include anywhere workers travel with their smart phones and other mobile devices, companies are being put at risk. Companies are exposed like never before to loss of reputation, scandal, employees behaving badly, company secrets being leaked, harassment and other damaging communications.  At the same time, these new technologies are enormously powerful and, as a practical matter, are here to stay.

Mr. Garrie and the other panelists will address real world best practices for securing the cyber environment and leveraging proactive strategies for protecting against litigation both inside and outside the workplace. Mr. Garrie will also take part in sharing the results of a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive survey of corporate cyber security. The audience will take away a better understanding of how to maximize mobile power and minimize the potential damage, including an understanding of generic mobile policies and guidelines for mobile usage.

Mr. Garrie will be speaking alongside Mr. Christopher A. Colvin, Founder, In the House and Partner at Colvin Hudnell LLP, and Mr. Que Mangus, Director of Product Marketing, GWAVA.

We are excited to see Mr. Garrie speak on such a relevant topic and are sure we will gain a lot. Further details for the LegalTech event can be found here.
