Daniel Garrie is the managing partner. He is also the managing partner and co-founder of Law & Forensics. Daniel is paving the way when it comes to 2017’s most pressing cyber security, forensic, and legal issues. Daniel, one of the most sought-after computer forensic experts and special masters, cyber mediators, and forensic neutrals with JAMS. Daniel frequently advises federal and state judges around the country, has recently added another point to his resume.

After successfully building and selling several technology start-up companies, Daniel has garnered a national reputation at the intersection of computer forensics and the law, and now sits as Founder and Executive Managing Partner of Law & Forensics, a legal-consulting firm that works with clients across industries on software, cyber security, e-discovery, and digital forensic issues. With an affinity for building start-ups and shaping a leadership team, Daniel is an active adviser and board member for a number of different companies, including KoolSpan, Waratek, and Eccentex.

Bill Spernow is the former Director of Information Security, Investigations and Incident Response for Experian, the world’s largest consumer reporting agency. Prior to Experian, Mr. Spernow was an e-Discovery and forensic litigation expert affiliated with LECG’s Digital Evidence Solutions Group. Mr. Spernow is the former Chief Information Security Officer for the Georgia Student Finance Commission and has advised many fortune 500 companies.

Sean Walsh is a senior consultant. Sean recently retired from the U.S. Department of Justice as Assistant General Counsel in the FBI’s National Security Law Branch. He provided legal advice on forensic and cyber matters to the Intelligence Community for their Counter Intelligence and Counter Terrorism programs as well as to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. Mr. Walsh served as Assistant General Counsel to the N.Y. City SCA Inspector General’s Office and as a Special Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office focusing on corruption and money laundering in the city’s construction industry.  He initiated and managed a forfeiture program and fourteen monitorships / private inspector generals in efforts to reform the industry. He has also investigated and prosecuted computer crime cases using forensics and management of digital information.  He has lectured extensively on computer security matters including at the European Union computer crime conference at The Hague.

Mr. Walsh, as a representative of the United States government, participated in the London training of the Iraqi judges for Iraqi Special Tribunal that conducted the Iraq war crime trials.

Mr. Walsh is also an adjunct faculty member at the New Jersey Institute of Technology College of Computing where he teaches a course on Cyber Investigations, Security, and the Law and assists in their research projects.
